Overview
The Englefield Electronic Bidet Seat brings warm-water washing to an existing toilet, with all controls on a panel built into the right-hand side of the seat. It suits a wide range of Englefield and other toilet pans – check yours with the compatibility template below.
Choose rear or front (feminine) cleansing, with an oscillating spray to cover a wider area, and adjust nozzle position and water pressure to suit. Water is kept warm in a heated reservoir, and the seat, water and dryer temperatures can each be set or switched off. There’s also a warm air dryer, a deodouriser and two power-saving modes.
Hygiene is built in: the stainless steel nozzle cleans itself automatically, and a sitting sensor means the wash functions only operate when someone is seated – so children can’t set it off by accident. The Quiet-Close seat closes gently, and the Quick-Release design lets you lift the whole unit off its mounting plates to clean around the pan.
Installation: the water connection must be made by a licensed plumber in line with AS/NZS 3500.1, including a high hazard backflow prevention device if one is not already fitted on site (not supplied). The seat needs a power point with RCD protection beside the toilet (a dedicated outlet rated over 7 A – no extension leads or double adaptors) – if there isn’t one, have it installed by a licensed electrician.
