Finding the right Puretec product
Replacement cartridges
Our most-ordered cartridges are the X7-R for the PureMix X7, Z6-R for the PureMix Z6, Z7-R for the PureMix Z7 and Z1-R, which suits Z1, SPARQ, Tripla and DF systems. Our PureMix Z Series cartridge guide shows which one fits each system.
Whole house systems are serviced with a care kit: the FilterWall F6 Premium Care Kit or the GR-WH255 Premium Care Kit for the WH2-55. Hybrid owners use the HR-G13R11P, HR-G7R2 or HR-G6R1 maintenance kit. See all water filter replacement cartridges.
Under sink water filters
For better-tasting drinking water at the kitchen sink, the PureMix Z6 connects to your existing mixer tap, the TW series twin filter comes with its own filter tap, and the Hybrid M1 adds UV for tank or bore water. Compare them in under sink filtration systems.
Whole house filters
Whole house systems filter the water to every tap and shower. The WH2-55 AMC is a dual-stage system for mains water; the FilterWall F5 and FilterWall F6 are 3-stage systems for homes with two or more bathrooms; the WU-UV250 adds UV treatment for rainwater. Which Puretec cartridge do I need?
Check the model on your filter head, housing or tap and match it to the cartridge name: PureMix Z6 uses the Z6-R, PureMix Z7 uses the Z7-R, and the Z1-R suits Z1, SPARQ, Tripla and DF systems. Whole house and Hybrid systems use a care or maintenance kit named after the system. If you can't find the model, send us a photo through the chat button and we'll tell you which one fits.
How do I change a Puretec cartridge?
Z series cartridges twist out of the filter head, and the PureMix Z6 changes without turning the water off. Whole house cartridges sit in housings that need the water isolated first. Our water guide on how to change a water filter cartridge walks through each type.
Is Tanksafe safe for drinking water tanks?
Yes. Tanksafe is made for treating stored drinking water. It is chlorine free, tasteless and odourless, and one dose protects tank water for up to 2 months. Dose to the label for your tank size and use the test strips to check it.
Do I need a plumber to install a Puretec filter?
Under sink and whole house filters connect to your water supply, which in Australia needs a licensed plumber. Replacing cartridges is a DIY job on most Puretec systems.
