The Puretec GC051 is a high-quality granular activated carbon (GAC) cartridge designed to improve drinking water by effectively reducing chlorine, unwanted taste, odour, volatile chemicals, and pesticides. Its design maximises contact between the water and carbon media, ensuring efficient contaminant absorption and delivering clean, crisp, great-tasting water.
Water enters one end of the cartridge and flows through the entire carbon bed before exiting at the opposite end, ensuring thorough filtration. An external expansion pad helps prevent channelling or bypass, allowing the water to be fully treated. The cartridge also features a 20-micron post-filter to reduce carbon fines and suspended particles, while a support basket securely holds the post-filter in place to prevent bypass.
